Art income while on the road.
I’m a travelling artist specialising in illustration, graphic design, and commissioned artwork. Alongside personal creative projects, I’ve worked with clients on a range of pieces, including contributing illustrations to published books featured in Waterstones.
My lifestyle revolves around what I like to call “suitcase-style travel” - building an income through art while moving between places and keeping my work portable.
Through my experience working as an artist, I’ve learned a lot about the practical side of turning creativity into income. I enjoy helping other artists navigate the early stages of creative entrepreneurship, especially when it comes to finding clients, getting commissions, building an audience, and learning how to turn creative skills into real opportunities.
If you’re interested in building a creative career that allows for freedom, travel, and flexibility, I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned along the way.

My Journey
Art and creativity have always been a huge part of my life, but my journey into turning it into something bigger really started when I was given the opportunity to attend an entrepreneurship program in Boston, USA. Being there exposed me to the world of business, creativity, and the idea that you could actually build a career around the things you create.
Since then, I’ve been exploring what it means to be an artist while living a more mobile lifestyle. I’ve spent time travelling to places like Copenhagen, Barcelona, and Hungary, using each place as an opportunity to experience new creative environments, meet people, and understand what it’s like to pursue art while on the move. Along the way I’ve experimented with finding clients in new cities, working on commissions, and continuing to build my creative practice wherever I am.
One of the most unusual lessons in my journey came quite early on when I was still learning the business side of being an artist. I created a piece of artwork that I never properly protected or licensed. Over time, that piece began appearing in places I had never expected. It has been sold in markets around the world, and I’ve even had people send me photos of it being sold in different countries. On one occasion I checked into a hotel and found the artwork hanging on the wall in my room. I’ve also seen it listed online on sites like AliExpress.
While it was a strange experience at first, it ended up teaching me a huge lesson about the importance of protecting your work, understanding licensing, and learning the business side of creativity. It’s something I now share with other artists so they can avoid the same mistakes and better understand how to value and protect their work.
My journey is still evolving, but it’s been shaped by a mix of travel, creativity, experimentation, and learning how to turn art into something that can support a flexible and independent lifestyle.
